About StudentAidTracker
StudentAidTracker is an independent organizer that helps you plan your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) preparation, college and scholarship deadlines, and required documents. It is not FAFSA, not Federal Student Aid, not a college, and not a lender.
What StudentAidTracker is
StudentAidTracker is a free, no-account planning website for U.S. students and their families. It gives you one private place to organize the steps, dates, and documents that go into applying for financial aid. Everything you enter is saved only in your own browser. We have no accounts, no login, and no way to see your plan.
The problem it solves
Applying for aid means juggling a lot of separate pieces: a FAFSA preparation checklist, federal and state deadlines, school-specific requirements, scholarship applications, and supporting documents, each tracked in a different place. Students miss deadlines simply because there is no single, private place to see what is due and what comes next. StudentAidTracker turns that scattered work into one organized plan you can see at a glance, update as you go, and print or save as a PDF.
Who it's for
U.S. students (high school students preparing for college, current college students, and graduate students), plus parents and guardians helping a student stay organized. There are no accounts and no profiles, so anyone can start a plan in seconds.
What it does
- Guides you through FAFSA preparation with a reviewed checklist tied to official sources.
- Helps you track college deadlines, scholarship deadlines, and required documents.
- Shows your progress and what is next, so nothing important slips.
- Points you to a small, reviewed set of official resources and reminds you to verify at the official source before relying on any deadline.
- Lets you print or save your plan from your own browser.
What StudentAidTracker is not
- Not FAFSA, Federal Student Aid, the U.S. Department of Education, or any government agency.
- Not a college, university, or school.
- Not a lender, loan servicer, or financial institution.
- Not a service that applies for, approves, verifies, or guarantees financial aid. We organize and track; official decisions are made by the agencies, schools, and sponsors that own them.
- Not a source of personalized legal, tax, admissions, eligibility, or financial advice.

How we handle official information
Government facts and deadlines come only from official sources, linked with the publisher name and a "last reviewed" date. We never guess a deadline, never claim to be the authority on one, and never present our guidance as official. When a deadline or requirement is published, the issuer, not this site, sets and controls it. Confirm the current details at the official source before relying on them.
Our promises to you
- Your plan is private. It lives in your browser and never leaves your device.
- We don't collect your data. No accounts, no personal information, no analytics at launch.
- We stay independent. We don't work for, or claim to be, the government, FAFSA, colleges, or lenders, and we never sell or share personal information.
- We're honest about what we know. Facts are sourced and dated; anything unverified is labeled UNVERIFIED, and we tell you to confirm with the official source.
- We keep it free. FAFSA is free to file at StudentAid.gov, and this site is free to use.
