1. Acceptance of these terms

Welcome to StudentAidTracker. By using the site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. The service

StudentAidTracker is an independent organizer that helps you plan Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) preparation, college and scholarship deadlines, and required documents. The site is free, has no accounts, and stores your plan only in your own browser. We are not FAFSA, Federal Student Aid, the U.S. Department of Education, a school, a lender, or an official service, and we don't apply for, approve, verify, or guarantee aid.

3. Eligibility

The site is intended for U.S. students and their families. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 13, please don't use the site. If you are a minor, review these terms with a parent or guardian.

4. Permitted use

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial planning. You may print or save your own plan for personal use.

5. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
  • Scrape, copy in bulk, or automatically collect content from the site.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the site, or probe its security.
  • Misrepresent yourself, the site, or your affiliation with any agency, school, or sponsor.
  • Enter sensitive information anywhere on the site: no Social Security numbers, FSA IDs, StudentAid.gov passwords, bank or financial account numbers, tax records, or documents (see section 6). This is not optional: the site is a planning tool and must not be used as a place to store sensitive data.
  • Use the site to submit, or claim to submit, a FAFSA, application, or any official form.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Enter only non-sensitive planning information (task names, dates, notes, source links).
  • Never enter sensitive data: credentials, SSNs, bank/financial information, or real documents. If you need to keep that information, keep it in a secure place you control, not here.
  • Verify deadlines and requirements at the official source before relying on them. Deadlines and rules are set by agencies, schools, and sponsors, not by us, and they can change.
  • Keep your own records; your plan is stored only on your device and can be lost if browser data is cleared or your device changes.

7. Accuracy and availability of information

We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we don't guarantee that information is complete, error-free, or up to date. Deadlines, requirements, and policies change; official issuers are the source of truth. See the Disclaimer for details.

8. Deadlines and educational information

Deadline and educational content on the site is product-maintained, sourced, and dated. If student-entered, it is clearly labeled as something you recorded. Content with missing or outdated sourcing is labeled UNVERIFIED. Confirm with the official source. The site is not the authoritative source for any deadline; always confirm with the agency, school, or sponsor.

9. Third-party websites and resources

The site links to external official resources (for example, StudentAid.gov and consumer.ftc.gov). These are separate websites with their own terms and privacy policies. Links don't mean we endorse or are affiliated with those organizations. We aren't responsible for their content, practices, or availability.

10. Intellectual property

The site's content, design, and "StudentAidTracker" name are owned by Naveen and protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the site for personal planning but may not copy, republish, or reuse its content or design for commercial purposes without permission. Third-party names and marks (including "FAFSA," which refers to the official form published by the U.S. Department of Education) belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe official programs and sources.

11. User-submitted content

The site has no accounts, no uploads, and no public posting. If you email us, you keep ownership of your message; we use it only to respond and don't publish it.

12. Service availability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We may update, change, or temporarily interrupt the service, and we don't guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and all content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that content is accurate, current, or complete.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Naveen and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or plan content, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site won't exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the site (which is nothing, since the site is free) or $100. Some states don't allow these limitations, so some may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Naveen and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. Check this page periodically.

17. Termination

You may stop using the site at any time. There's nothing to cancel. We may restrict or terminate access to the site for anyone who misuses it or violates these terms.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Karnataka, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in India, Karnataka, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
